Hi folks, I'm looking at buying a 1987 P31 and had noticed some pretty extensive cracking around the stern cleats and backstay chainplates. There are a lot of cracks, probably 8-10 at each cleat, radiating from the cleats in all directions, and a similar situation at the backstay chainplates. The cracks run all the way to the inboard or outboard edge of the deck flange. Has anybody seen this before? Does it warrant concern, or are the cracks likely superficial? What repairs would need to be made, and at what cost?

I really like this boat but I want to know how serious these cracks are. Any info on other trouble areas that I should be looking at would be welcome as well.
