Time has come to choose between wedge partners (moveable) and Locktite for support at the coachroof, when we pull the stick for the first time in 18 seasons (not a single rigging failure to date, but corrosion and stress damage always lurk).

Any threads of consenus out there?

Up here in Maine we have to pull the mast every year. I installed Spartite this season and it made a huge difference in the amount of weater leaking down the mast when it rained. I'll be interested to see if it works as well next season now that it's been removed once. Several friends who have used it swear by it.

If you decide to go with it be sure to make certain you have constructed the clay dam carefully. I thought I had but to my chagrin discovered several streams of blue goo dripping down the mast!
