I am replacing my old Standard Eclipse VHF at the nav station and am looking at the Icom M-302 & M402S. I purchased an Icom M1V hand-held last year and have loved it. The 302 & 402S (don't need the 402 with the COMMANDMIC feature so am opting for the "S" which doesn't have it). I like the lay-out of the 302 better as the buttons more resemble my M1V and the specs are basically the same. The price at West Marine is only $10 difference so that's not a factor. Any advice, especially from someone that has one of these radios, will be appreciated. All other advice will be appreciated too. Thanx. jim lassiter #195 Deltaville, VA[/b] |
