Has anyone replaced their original 35 Amp alternator with a higher output model? Mack Boring says not to exceed 55 Amps if driven off the front of the engine, as the original alternator is, and suggests Yanmar 129772-77200 as a direct replacement. However, its very pricey. I have not found another suitable 55 Amp replacement.
Any suggestions?
